Your 4 Days / 3 Nights in Detail

Every day of your safari is planned around optimal wildlife timing — early mornings for predators, late afternoons for the Mara River, and midday rest when animals are least active. Your guide may adapt this itinerary based on daily wildlife intelligence.

Nairobi → Masai Mara — Migration Briefing

Depart Nairobi at 06:30 — an early start maximises your time in the Mara. En route, your guide delivers a full migration briefing: where the herds are concentrated, which crossing points are currently active, and how crossing behaviour works. This intelligence changes daily and our guide monitors it continuously via a network of guides throughout the ecosystem. Arrive at your riverside camp by 13:00 for lunch. An afternoon reconnaissance drive surveys the Mara River banks from Serena to Governors — identifying the crossing points where build-up is happening. Return to camp, dinner, and early sleep — tomorrow begins before dawn.

Full River Crossing Day — Position and Wait

The single most important skill in witnessing a river crossing is patience and positioning — and this is exactly what your guide excels at. Depart camp at 05:30. Crossings typically occur mid-morning once the herds have built sufficient mass and courage on the northern bank. Your vehicle holds a premier position. Thousands of wildebeest pace the cliff edges, doubling back, surging forward. Then it happens: one animal commits, and the herd follows in a thundering, leaping wave. Crocodiles explode from the water. The sound is extraordinary. You may witness multiple crossings in a single morning. Afternoon rest, then an evening drive for big cat sightings along the open plains. Dinner with your guide reviewing the day.

Second Crossing Attempt + Open Plains Drive

Crossings do not happen every day — but when conditions are right, multiple crossings can occur on consecutive days. Your guide's intelligence network gives you the best possible read on today's conditions. An early 05:30 river drive, then if no crossing is imminent by 10:00, we pivot to an extraordinary alternative: the open Mara plains where the wildebeest columns stretch from horizon to horizon. Hundreds of thousands of animals alongside zebra, eland, Thomson's gazelle, and all the predators that follow them. Afternoon on the Musiara Marsh for lion and elephant activity. Final camp dinner.

Dawn Final Drive → Nairobi

One last 05:30 drive along the Mara River — your guide's final chance to deliver. The Mara has a habit of saving the very best sighting for the very last morning. Breakfast at camp at 09:00, then departure at 10:30. Arrive Nairobi 16:30–17:00. Your guide will share photos, video clips, and coordinates of all significant sightings from your three days — a record of what you witnessed.
