Away From Home Adventures was founded in Nairobi in 2015 by a team of passionate Kenyan wildlife specialists who shared one frustration: too many safari companies were selling Africa without truly knowing it. They decided to build something different — a company where every guide, every itinerary, and every recommendation comes from genuine, lived expertise rather than a brochure.

We know the Masai Mara's big cat territories intimately — not from weekly visits but from years of daily presence. We know the Amboseli elephant families by name, the specific fig tree where the same leopard has raised three generations of cubs, and which Diani reef offers the best snorkelling on any given tide. That granular, passionate knowledge is what we build every safari around.

A decade later, we have guided 500+ guests from 40+ countries, maintained a 5-star TripAdvisor rating, and grown from a team of three to a family of twelve dedicated Kenya wildlife experts.
