How Bookings Work

Simple, Transparent, No Surprises

Deposits & Payments

A deposit of 30% of the total safari cost confirms your dates and secures your vehicle, guide, and accommodation. The remaining balance (70%) is due 30 days before your departure date. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, the full amount is payable immediately.

We accept: M-Pesa · Visa · Mastercard · Bank Transfer (SWIFT/Local) · PayPal. All prices are quoted and charged in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified. Currency conversion at the rate of transfer on the payment date. No hidden card fees.

Cancellation Policy

60–89 days	40% of total cost
30–59 days	60% of total cost
15–29 days	80% of total cost
0–14 days	100% of total cost — no refund

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation. We can recommend providers on request.

Amendments

Date changes can be made up to 45 days before departure subject to availability. Amendment fees of $50 USD apply per change after initial booking confirmation. Guide requests accommodated where possible at no extra cost.

What Is Included

All AFHA packages include: TRA-certified expert guide, all game drives per itinerary, full-board accommodation (all meals), all national park and conservancy fees, return Nairobi transfer in 4×4, and 24/7 emergency support during your safari.

What Is Not Included

Unless specifically stated: international flights, travel insurance, visa fees, alcoholic beverages, personal items, souvenirs, optional activities listed separately (balloon, village visits, etc.), tips/gratuities for your guide and camp staff.

Force Majeure

Away From Home Adventures Ltd cannot be held liable for cancellations or itinerary changes caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to: natural disasters, government actions, park closures, extreme weather events, pandemics, or civil unrest. In such cases, we will work with all guests to reschedule at no amendment fee.

Liability

Away From Home Adventures Ltd is fully licensed by the Kenya Tourism Board, registered with TRA, and carries comprehensive public liability insurance. All vehicles are inspected, serviced, and road-legal. All guides are KWS licensed and first-aid certified. We operate to the highest standards in the Kenya safari industry.

Masai Mara

Kenya's most celebrated reserve — home to the Big Five, resident cheetahs, and the annual Great Wildebeest Migration (July–Oct). Year-round excellent game viewing

Samburu Reserve

Northern Kenya's raw wilderness — home to Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, and Somali ostrich. Combine with Mara for a full Kenya experience.

Amboseli NP

Famous for large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Ideal for photographers and families. Best visited Nov–Feb for clearest Kili views.

Tsavo East & West
